In August 2025, a cable piercing test was carried out in Panlongcheng Economic Development Zone for an underground power cable modification project.

Due to local subway construction, the existing cable lines needed to be upgraded and modified. According to safety regulations, the cables had to pass a piercing verification test before cutting to ensure that the cable was safely confirmed before further construction operations.

Testing Solution

Our engineering team provided the wireless remote-controlled cable piercing tester for the project.

The equipment features a built-in rechargeable battery and remote operation design. During the test, the piercing device was installed with the piercing nail and cartridge, then securely fixed onto the target cable.

After installation, the grounding connection was completed and the device entered the ready state. Engineers used the wireless remote controller to complete the piercing operation from a safe distance, avoiding direct contact with the equipment during triggering.

This remote operation design significantly improved testing safety and field operation efficiency.
