The TAG-8600C Wireless High Voltage Phase Detector (hereinafter referred to as "the instrument") is used for phase verification during grid connection or ring network connection of two high-voltage lines. It is applicable to phase verification of 5V~500kV AC transmission lines and secondary live display devices, and is also equipped with a line live detection function.
Adopting wireless transmission technology, the instrument features safe and reliable operation as well as convenient use, eliminating multiple drawbacks of wired phase detectors. In addition, it supports upgraded functions including phase sequence detection and remote phase verification.
The instrument consists of 2 transmitters and 1 receiving host. The transmitters can judge whether the line is live and measure the phase and frequency of the line. During short-range phase detection, the X and Y transmitters send measured data to the receiving host via radio signals. The receiving host calculates the phase difference between the two lines based on the data and judges in-phase or out-of-phase status.
Result judgment adopts the national standard Grade A, with 30° as the threshold for in-phase and out-of-phase judgment.
When the phase difference ≥ ±30°, it is judged as out-of-phase. The voice prompt plays "Out-of-phase", the screen displays "Out-of-phase", and the out-of-phase indicator light turns on.
When the phase difference < ±30°, it is judged as in-phase. The voice prompt plays "In-phase", the screen displays "In-phase", and the in-phase indicator light turns on.
All phase difference results take the X circuit as the reference. The angle value indicates the phase of Y leading X.
Example: X=0°, Y=240°, the difference = Y leads X by 120°.
Notice:
If the frequencies of the two lines are inconsistent, a quasi-synchronization paralleling device shall be used to control the frequency and phase of the generator. Grid connection and power transmission are allowed only after the generator phase and frequency are consistent with those of the main power grid.
